| I understand your view point completely Harry but here is the legitimate claim. TLTD coatings work. Plain and simple. How well exactly...that's where measuring comes into play. There is no theory behind any of it. It def does work and I'm quite confident in its ability on this application to work well. Also since you are one to want data...I wouldn't be using an IR gun to measure your heat index with. They are quite inaccurate. One that is head strong about data and measuring always has a physical way measuring. You should use a test probe. Infrared guns do not read the actual temperature. The temp can vary depending on color. I did a demonstration on a surface that had three colors and all surfaces were the same temp. The infrared gun showed three different, and widely different at that, temperatures. Lighter look cooler and darker look hotter. We had a customer come in with his car after coating the exhaust with BHK. Said the Infrared gun showed the same temp before and after. We used a physical probe and the temp of the coated part was over 400F cooler than the gun showed. Think of when you were a kid and in Summer you crossed a paved street barefooted. You would walk on the white line if possible so as not to burn your foot on the black top. Both areas were the same temp, but the white transferred heat slower, so your feet sensed a cooler temp, when it was really just how fast the heat was absorbed or transferred. The TLTD was radiating heat faster as the gun showed, which is what you want. You want that heat to dissapate off or out of the part faster and better. The end result is cooler air. Fact is fact and I totally agree with you but I would like to think that you wouldn't think I would be doing work that would be a gimmick or lack there of. I spend a lot of time doing detailed work and use very high quality parts and attention to detail in everything I do. I am not going to do something that has no purpose or doesn't show gains in any fashion. The customer doesn't need another gimmick to buy and I don't have time to dick around with things that don't work to begin with. I am working hard right now getting my shop up and furnished and once that's done I will be able to do a test stand for the oil pumps to show improvement. These pumps do work and I have several of them (50+) out running on a lot of engines (many overseas as well) without issues.
